Erin Harris is senior vice president, general counsel, and chief ethics and compliance officer of Southern Company Gas. In this role, she has responsibility for the company’s legal, corporate security, and corporate secretary functions, as well as its compliance and ethics program. Erin also is a member of the Southern Company Gas Management Council. Southern Company Gas is a subsidiary of Southern Company.

Erin previously served as the vice president and deputy general counsel of Georgia Power Company, with responsibility for managing the legal and compliance teams. Prior to joining Southern Company, Erin served in a number of legal and compliance roles at Colonial Pipeline Company.

She began her legal career in 2005 in private practice, primarily focusing on litigation and employment law. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida State University and a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.

Erin serves on the board of directors for the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and is a member of Fernbank Museum’s Corporate Leadership Council. Erin and her husband, Matt, live in Atlanta along with their two sons, James and Thomas.
