Norman G. Holmes

President, Southern Region Pipelines, Kinder Morgan, Inc.

Norman G. Holmes served as President, Southern Region Pipelines, Kinder Morgan, Inc. since January 2010. The Southern Region includes Southern Natural Gas and other natural gas pipelines and two liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminals with total regional revenues of over $2.6 billion. Mr. Holmes has extensive P&L, business development and M&A experience. Mr. Holmes negotiated over $4 billion in expansions on the systems and was responsible for a $1.1 billion LNG terminal acquisition. He also negotiated a 50% sale of Southern Natural Gas with a large electric utility.

Mr. Holmes was also President of Tennessee Gas Pipeline from 2010 to 2012 until the Kinder Morgan/El Paso merger. With over 40 years of experience in the natural gas pipeline industry, he has worked extensively with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and testified at State Public Service Commissions.

Prior to becoming President, Mr. Holmes served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Vice President of Business Development, and Vice President and Controller. Also, as head of the internal audit group, he has worked extensively with the audit committee and board reviewing company control procedures, risk analysis, and financial reporting.

Mr. Holmes is a nationally recognized leader in the field of natural gas pipelines. He has served on the boards of the Southern Gas Association (Chairman 2011) and Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). Mr. Holmes also served on the State of Georgia’s LNG Advisory Committee. In the area of the community, Mr. Holmes has served on the local boards of United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Junior Achievement and chaired the local YMCA.

Mr. Holmes received his Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville State University in 1979 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
